A Communication Team Member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ellen Ama Daaku, has claimed that members of the NPP have developed 100% support for the Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin South, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, in relation to the drug trafficking and money laundering case involving aircraft that passed through Ghana.
Speaking on the Angel Morning Show (AMS) on Monday, April 7, 2025, Ama Daaku expressed her belief that the MP possesses solid evidence to substantiate his case.
However, she questioned why members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) assert that Rev. Ntim Fordjour lacks any means to defend himself.
According to her, the actions of the government spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, have led Ghanaians to accept Rev. Ntim Fordjour’s allegations regarding the drug trafficking matter. She pointed out that her party members have shown significant support for him.
“The spokesperson for the government, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, is making us believe in what Rev. Ntim Fordjour is saying; there’s no smoke without fire. I’m a member of the NPP and we have confidence in him.
"We trust Rev. Ntim 100%, and the reason I say we support Rev. Ntim 100% is that the cocaine was brought into the country while we were here, and you came to tell us that you’ve tracked cocaine from Takoradi to Accra,” she stated.
She concluded that Felix Kwakye Ofosu should not defend the Amed company for providing fake photos on his social media page, claiming that Rev. Ntim Fordjour does not possess any evidence to substantiate his defence.
Furthermore, she noted that President Mahama has set up a committee to investigate the matter. To her, Mr. Kwakye should abolish such behaviour.
